On February 18-19, 2016 the international conference "Arctic and offshore projects: prospects, innovation and regions development" (Arctic-2016) will take place in Moscow. The conference is organized by "System Consulting" company and "Regional energy and energy efficiency" journal with support of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation. The partners of the event are Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas, the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, International Academy of Technological Science, Arctic Public Academy of Science, Committee of RSPP on Energy Policy and Efficiency, CCI of the RF, National Association of oil and gas service and The Analytical Center for the Government of the Russian Federation.

The key issues of the conference are aspects and prospects of Arctic and Continental shelf development, the role of Arctic region in meeting energy demand, legislative support for offshore projects development, international experience of exploration and drilling operations under challenging conditions in Arctic region with the use of modern innovative technologies, LNG, infrastructure, industrial and environmental safety, creation of favorable investment environment and international cooperation aspects.

Special attention will be paid to the development and interaction between federal regions during offshore projects development, regional and industry programs, staff training, social responsibility on the creation of decent working conditions and livelihoods in the North and the Far East. Special regional session will be devoted to these and other topical issues of offshore regions development, where the reports of the Arctic regions and Russian Far East heads will be presented.

During the event the exhibition will be organized to demonstrate high performance technologies and development of Russian and foreign organizations participating in the conference.

Representatives of federal and regional structures, leading Russian and foreign petroleum and energy companies, financial, scientific, transportation, service and other organizations, scientists, politicians are expected to participate in the conference.
